Manage or cancel your subscription
Subscriptions are billed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, choose Captivating, and change or cancel it. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Restore purchases
New phone, or reinstalled the app? Sign in with the same Apple ID, open the paywall or Settings in Captivating, and tap Restore purchases.
Refunds
Apple handles refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The app can’t hear me
- Check Settings → Captivating → Microphone is on.
- Record somewhere quiet, with the phone about a hand’s length from your mouth.
- If you use Bluetooth earbuds, try the iPhone’s own microphone.
My score seems off
Scores are measured from your voice: melody, pauses, pace, volume and filler words. Background noise, very short answers or reading from a script can throw them off. Try a 60-second answer in a quiet room. If it still seems wrong, email us. It genuinely helps us improve scoring.
If your speech is different in any way (a stutter, an accent, or anything else), turn on “My speech is different” so your progress is scored against your own baseline only.
Your recordings
Your free Report is analyzed on your iPhone. Coaching uses the words you said and your measurements, not your audio. You can delete any recording you kept (like your Day 1) in the app. Details in the Privacy Policy.
Delete your account
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your profile, recordings, transcripts, scores and progress within 30 days. It can’t be undone.
Can’t open the app? Email [email protected] from the address on your account (or tell us the email you signed in with) with the subject “Delete my account”, and we’ll do it for you.
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel that in your iPhone settings first.
